Here's an example of "Stem Mastering". I had to mix several mixed down instrument sections: "Drums", "Vocals", "Guitars", etc... Also, through some filtering techniques, I was able to trigger just the kick drum in the Drum stem to mix in kick samples since the original kick drum was lacking in punch and power.
